Nokia to Use Qualcomm Snapdragon

CEO Qualcom, Paul Jacobs, stated Nokia and Qualcomm will introduce Symbian smartphone with Snapdragon processor in the mid of 2010. The rumor said that the handheld will use Snapdragon 1.3 GHz and 1.5 GHz faster than today's speed which is 1 GHZ. This seems a leap for Nokia, as we know the fastest processor for Nokia phone is in N900, using ARM Cortex A8 600 MHz.

Toshiba to Show TG02 and K01 Smartphone

Known electronic manufacturer from Japan, Toshiba, shows two new smartphone in the Mobile World Congress 2010 in Barcelona. The first smartphone is TG02. It is design for entertainment handheld which is slim but powerful using Windows Mobile 6.5 operaitng system. It has 4,1 inch capacitive VGA touchscreen, Qualcomm Snapdragon 1 GHz processor, and 3D menu navigation.

The second smartphone is K01which has similar feature to TG02. The difference is that K01 has QWERTY sliding keyboard which is claimed to be the softness keypad ever. It also has memory card slot that support microSDHC up to 32GB.

There is no price information yet.

HTC to Show Legend, Desire , and HD Mini Smartphones

In the Mobile World Congress 2010 Barcelona, HTC shows its brand new three smartphones HD Mini, Legend, and HTC Desire. Legend dan HD Mini will be available on market on April 2010, while Desire will be coming afterward.

HTC Legend
This smartphone has Amoled 3.2 inch touch screen wich is very comfortable to navigate the menus. This is not the most powerful HTC mobile, but it has elgant design with unibody aluminum case. Inside the body it is embeded Qualcomm 600-MHz processor, 512 MB ROM, 384MB RAM, audio jack 3,5 mm and 5 megapixel camera. HTC Sense user interface is installed to operate the phone that has been improved by adding Friend Steam widget.

HTC Desire

Same as Legend, HTC Desire uses Android 2.1 operating system. Its design is similar to Google Nexus One, or we can say they are twin. Don't be surprised becasu HTC is the manufacturer of Nexus One. Desire features multi-touch 3,7 Inch display, and 1GHz Snapdragon processor.

HTC HD Mini

Different to the previous two, HD Mini is a Windows Mobile 6.5 smartphone. It has smaller design than the HTC HD2.

Puma to Launch Smartphone

A leading manufacturer of sports equipment, Puma, shows out the first time Puma gadgets product. Puma has introduced mobile phone in October last year. Puma handset is the result of cooperation between Puma and Sagem Wireless.

RIM to Announce New Blackberry Internet Browser

Blackberry Manufacturer, Research In Motion (RIM) launched a new Internet browser for the device, in order to attract more customers in the non-business scope. Co-Chief Executive RIM and Blackberry inventor Mike Lazaridis said it will demonstrate the new WebKit browser.

In the event Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2010 in Barcelona, Spain he explained

It Looks like RIM is necessary to develop the browser to attract more number of consumers, and compete with similar devices are also intensively explore the market.

Sony Ericsson to Release Xperia X10 mini and Xperia X10 mini pro

In the event Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2010 in Barcelona, Monday, February 15 local time, Sony Ericsson did not want to miss to introduce new smartphone. Three Android mobile platform that will be released by Sony Ericsson to the market this year.

Are both given the name Xperia X10, but two new smartphones were given the additional label Mini and Mini Pro. Both Xperia X10 Pro Mini and Mini has the same view but shorter than the X10 that have been released last year. Both equally use Android operating system 1.6 and supports access to Android applications market that Google developed and equipped with applications such as Gmail and Google Maps. The main feature are touch screen 2.55 inches wide and 5-megapixel camera.

The difference is that Xperia X10 Pro Mini features a QWERTY keyboard that appears when the screen is slided up same to the previous series Xperia X1 and X2. Xperia X10 Pro Mini is also a bit heavier than Mini, 119 grams with 78 grams. X10 Pro Mini also only available in black and red colors, while the X10 Mini is available also with other colors like pink, silver, white, and green.

Sony Ericsson did not create a new variant of the X10, but only release the Xperia series into the form of X10 Mini or smaller than the original X10. X10 Mini reminiscent of the Nokia N97 is also present in the form of Mini.

Meanwhile, about the hardware, X10 Mini paired with Qualcomm's MSM7227 600MHz chip. About the network, X10 Mini has reached 3G, WiFi, Bluetooth and other multimedia features.

Acer to Prepare Ferrari Smartphone

Acer to expand the brand 'Ferrari' in the line of products. Having been newly charged in notebooks and netbooks, Taiwanese vendors began carrying the brand synonymous with luxury sports car on his mobile. Acer has not revealed officially the new tough specifications.

However, according to leaks that have been circulating on the Internet, Acer Ferrari smartphone using Android operating system 2.1, touch screen design, and equipped with HSDPA connectivity and Wi-Fi.

Acer itself informed by Stefano Domenicali, Team Principal of Scuderia Ferrari has extended the sponsorship for the next 3 years. And of course they expect the combination of 2 name "branded" this can create high-tech product that represents a Ferrari car.

Acer and Ferrari have cooperative work together for 7 years. And collaboration agreement they had just updated with an additional contract to 3 years.
