Get Your Mobile a Doomsday Terminal

Written by dekaman on 4:43 AM

Maybe you are not expecting this application but it has been released on the Apple store called 'Doomsday Terminal' that lets you get your mobile hatch on, by forcing you to input a deactivation code (which is sadly not the famed code from the show) into a common console every 108 minutes. And if you don’t?...Well, there won’t be any cataclysmic release of energy or anything, but you will have to start your streak over again.

The game is basically an endurance test that pits you against other users to see who can input the code for the longest period of time. It also includes a messaging function that randomly sends comments to the “command centers” being used by other players, just in case the whole thing wasn't creepy enough. Ready to play?

Flexible Electronic Screen

Written by dekaman on 9:25 PM

flexible monitor display
The screens on laptops, televisions, mobile phones and so on have got sharper, wider and thinner. They are about to get thinner still, but with a new twist. By using flexible components, these screens will also become bendy. Some could even be rolled up and slipped into your pocket like a piece of electronic paper. These thin sheets of plastic will be able to display words and images; a book, perhaps, or a newspaper or a magazine. And now it looks as if they might be mass produced in much the same way as the printed paper they are emulating.
